So here's the quick version of my story: My city parents moved our family to the country when I was 10, attempted to farm for a few years, settled on a hobby garden and somewhere in there, I began picking meat out of my meals. After I went away to college, I made the choice to be a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian when I received information about the factory farming industry from activists on campus. A few years later, after a lifetime of lactose intolerance and further research, I chose to remove all products made from sentient beings not only from my diet, but from everything else as well (leather, fur, gelatin, wool, etc.). And that is how I became Vegan.
I'd like to encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about a plant-based diet to do research, read everything you can on the subject and find your own path to Veganism, even if it's just a day or two each week. And of course, bookmark this website and "Like" my page on Facebook for updates! Whether you are veg-curious or ready to make a real change, I hope that my website will help you to feel more comfortable with expanding your views and letting go of a lifestyle that no longer suits you. Being Vegan will force you to stand out and that is a good thing! For me, the moment I was able to move forward from "the way things have always been", I never looked back.
Happy cooking, loves.
